What we install

Installation scope depends on the product. Countertops, window sills, stair components, fireplace pieces, panels and cladding each have different requirements for substrates, fixing and joints. Before quoting, component size and weight, material, installation location and the boundaries with other trades must be clear.

Site readiness

Before the visit, substrate strength and geometry, cabinetry, walls, services, finished levels and connection points should be checked, with wet trades completed. When the site is not ready, postponing the installation is safer than trying to correct an unsuitable base beneath heavy stone on site.

Delivery, lifting and logistics

The delivery route, vehicle access, parking, floor level, lift, stair openings and manual handling points affect packaging, crew and lifting arrangements. Large components need a confirmed path from the vehicle to the final installation position.

Joints, fixing and sealing

Fixings, adhesives and sealants are selected for the stone, substrate, load and service conditions. Joint positions, joint width, interfaces and visible tolerances should be approved in advance; sealant cannot compensate for fundamentally incorrect geometry.

Scope, price factors and handover

The proposal should identify delivery, lifting, positioning, jointing, sealing, connection of adjacent items and excluded work as separate scope items. Handover checks position, stability, visible joints, new damage, cleanliness and conformity with the approved drawings.

Large and heavy pieces require different packaging, handling routes, crew arrangements and positioning methods.

Corners, long interfaces, complex joints and connections to cabinetry increase the amount of accurate on-site fitting.
