Fabrication capabilities

A fabrication quote starts with a defined product, material, dimensions, component count and surface requirements. The feasibility of a complex shape is confirmed after reviewing drawings, minimum radii, thickness, permissible joints and the conditions for later installation.

Measurement, drawings and slab layout

Measurements and working drawings record actual geometry, cut-outs, interfaces, supports and technical clearances. For strongly patterned stone, the slab layout is approved separately, including vein direction, component centring, adjacent pattern matching and usable slab areas.

Cutting, edges and cut-outs

The specification lists every edge, hole, rebate, cut-out, build-up and reinforcement. Appliance, sink, tap and other fitted-item dimensions are confirmed from technical drawings or the physical items; a verbal description is not a reliable installation dimension.

Polishing and quality control

Quality control compares the selected material and layout with dimensions, diagonals, thickness, edges, cut-outs and the visible finish. A discrepancy should be resolved before packing rather than passed to the installation stage, where access and correction options are limited.

Lead times, materials and installation handoff

Lead time depends on complete inputs, selected material availability, layout and machining complexity, approval sequence and order size. Before installation handoff, the team checks completeness, labelling, packaging, delivery route and site readiness.

Material and usable yield

The selected slab, pattern placement, unusable natural areas and number of components determine total stone consumption.

Geometry and tolerances

Radii, corners, long components, aligned planes and tighter tolerances increase preparation and inspection requirements.

Edges, holes and cut-outs

Each profile, rebate, appliance cut-out, hole, build-up and reinforcement is recorded in the specification and quote.
