FORM, EDGE, BASE AND STABILITY

The table is designed as one structural system

The stone top dimensions, thickness, built-up edges, curves, support positions and fixing method must work together and suit the intended use.

01

Tabletop form

Rectangle, oval, circle, square, asymmetric or bespoke geometry is coordinated with the layout and required seating.

02

Thickness and edge

Nominal thickness, built-up edge, bevel, radius or a detailed profile determine appearance, weight and fabrication method.

03

Pattern and joints

Principal slab areas, vein direction, bookmatching and any joints are planned before cutting begins.

04

Metal or timber base

Bearing surfaces, stiffness, fixing points and compatibility with the stone top weight are checked.

05

Stone pedestal

Solid, assembled or clad pedestals are designed around weight, transport and on-site assembly access.

06

Stability and loads

Overhangs, spans, centre of gravity and anti-tip measures are assessed before drawings and production are approved.

ESTIMATE

What determines the cost of a stone table

The estimate depends on more than area. It includes the actual slab and usable yield, form, thickness, edge finishing, base, delivery, lifting and assembly.

Material and usable yield

Slab value, pattern selection, blank size and remnants after cutting.

Geometry and finishing

Curves, ovals, shaped outlines, profiles, built-up edges, polishing and visible edges.

Base and fixing

An existing client base or the bespoke fabrication of metal, timber or stone construction.

Logistics and assembly

Packing, delivery, floor level, lifting, access, assembly and final levelling.

FROM IDEA TO COMPLETED TABLE

The RoyalStone table process

01

Consultation

We review references, the room plan, desired dimensions, seating capacity and material preferences.

02

Concept and proportions

Form, height, seating, overhangs, base and relationships with furniture and lighting are established.

03

Stone selection

Specific slabs are presented and the areas forming the principal tabletop pattern are selected.

04

Drawings

Dimensions, thickness, edge profile, curves, supports, fixings and assembly sequence are documented.

05

Fabrication

Stone components are cut, shaped, built up, polished and checked for dimensional accuracy.

06

Delivery and assembly

Components are delivered, the base is assembled, the top is installed and levelled, and care guidance is provided.

PROJECT INPUTS

What to define before estimating the table

A reference and approximate dimensions are enough for an initial review. Before drawings, we confirm the room, seating, height, base, access and assembly conditions.

01

Room dimensions

A plan or photographs help verify circulation, distances from furniture and a comfortable table position.

02

Seating capacity

Length, width, tabletop overhang and legroom are established around the selected chairs.

03

Form and height

The dining, coffee, console or working format and the required height are agreed.

04

Base type

We confirm whether RoyalStone supplies the base or installs the stone top on an existing structure.

05

Delivery route

Doors, stairs, lifts, turns and floor level determine allowable component sizes and divisions.

06

Power and lighting

Office, meeting or illuminated tables require cables, power supplies and service access to be coordinated early.

KYIV AND THE KYIV REGION

Delivery and assembly at the property

We work in apartments, private houses, offices, restaurants, hotels and showrooms across Kyiv and the Kyiv Region. An initial estimate can be prepared remotely from plans, photographs or visualisations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What to know before ordering a stone table

How much does a natural stone table cost?

Cost depends on the actual slab, dimensions, form, thickness, edge profile, base construction, delivery and assembly. A reference and approximate dimensions are enough for an initial estimate.

Which stone is best for a dining table?

Granite or a suitable quartzite are often selected for active use. Marble offers unique character but needs more careful maintenance. The final recommendation is based on the actual stone and use.

Can a table be made from a photograph?

Yes. A photograph or visualisation can provide the design reference, after which proportions, material, base and technical details are adapted to the room.

Can RoyalStone make the table base?

A complete solution can be designed with a metal, timber, stone or combined base. A stone top may also be installed on an existing base after its geometry and stiffness are checked.

What tabletop thickness is required?

Thickness depends on the material, dimensions, spans, form, edge and support construction. A thicker appearance can be created with a built-up edge, but the detail must be documented.

Can the exact slab pattern be selected?

Yes. Available slabs are presented and the layout, vein direction, visible edges and principal pattern areas are planned before cutting.

How is a large stone table delivered?

The delivery route is checked in advance. Where required, the construction is divided into safe transport components and assembled at the property.

How should a marble table be maintained?

Use a neutral natural-stone cleaner and a soft cloth, and remove spills promptly. Acidic and abrasive products should be avoided. Exact guidance depends on the stone and finish.

Does RoyalStone work across the Kyiv Region?

Yes. Delivery and installation are available across Kyiv and the Kyiv Region, subject to route, floor level, access and component dimensions.
